Bar Mitzvah date Calculator

The Bar Mitzvah Date Calculator can help you plan for your Bar Mitzvah. Bar Mitzvahs are traditionally celebrated by having a boy read the weekly Torah portion (Parashat ha-Shavua) on the Shabbat following his 13th birthday. This tool will provide you with the Hebrew and Gregorian dates of your 13th birthday, the following Shabbat, and the Torah portion for that week. Please note that this information only valid if you celebrate your Bar Mitzvah exactly at the 13-year mark. In any case, we recommend you consult your local rabbi regarding your Bar Mitzvah celebration. Also note that days on the Hebrew calendar begin at sunset, so make sure to check the box if relevant when entering a Gregorian date.
